These photographs document the search and recovery work of Comandos de Salvamento on January 18th, after the  2001 Earthquake. 
The Neighborhood of Las Colinas in Santa Tecla was struck by a landslide that covered 250 houses.  Viewer discretion advised.

Western Union listo con agua en bolsa. Los voluntarios de "wester" andaba en la zona regalando agua. Estoy contento que aqui estan apoyando porque creo que Western Union esta ganando buen pisto tras el dinero que hermanos lejanos estan mandando desde la USA. Favor Gatorade proxima vez~!
Western Union ready with the water.  They walk througout the site giving away much needed water. I am glad they are supporting the mission because Western Union is making quite a profit from money being sent down from Salvadorans in the U.S. Gatorade next time!
