Over the last 12 days the CDS fumigation brigade has been combating dengue and other mosquito born illnesses alongside the municipal mayors office and the Public Health Ministry in Berlín Usulután. Fumigation brigade lead Comando Carlos Fuentes reports that more than 4,000 homes were fumigated around Urban Berlín, and surrounding neighborhoods of Loma Abajo,  Loma Arriba, Talpetate, Tablón, and La Jardín. Carlos and six other EMS members stayed for the full 12 days working against mosquito larvae that can house itself in stagnant waters and common “pilas”-cement sinks-in almost every Salvadoran home.
