Comandos de Salvamento offered a First Aid class for the first time ever in the USA this past Friday in Wenatchee Washington. The class was sponsored by the Comité Salvadoreño de Washington Central. Many Latinos in the area work in agricultural and benefit from knowledge and skills the Comandos have in first aid and basic CPR. The course was geared for the first to respond meaning friend or family on scene and what to do before handing care over to more qualified EMS providers such as Ballard or Lifeline Ambulance.  Luis taught students how to manage basic injuries, choking, bleeding, small fractures, and sprains. Comandos de Salvamento wants to formally thank Ballard Ambulance of the Wenatchee Valley for loaning 8 adult training mannequins and 10 baby mannequins for the class to practice their newly acquired skills.
