Throughout the day, the National Civilian Police and Salvadoran Army cleared out streets around the Cathedral down town in order to prepare for Obama’s visit to the tomb of Monseñor Oscar Romero. Even a local Salvadoran who wanted to express her appreciation of Obama and Eduardo Rivera Mayen, an infamous Comando who recently passed away, was asked to relocate.
