Medic Devin Price and Doctor Andrés Marin from the USA started a basic EMT-B class this Monday at our EMS school at the central base. 30 volunteers from different bases throughout the country are taking the course. Executive Director Roberto Cruz reports that this class will improve quality EMS services rendered to patients in need and under whatever circumstance. The course is sponsored by Norway’s People’s Popular Aid. It is hoped that this program can happen at least once a year to improve services that CDS offers in El Salvador. Devin and Andres have collaborated with Comandos de Salvamento since 2001. Devin is the director of the Paramedicine program at SouthWestern College in San Diego and is being sponsored by the college and American Medical Response. Andres in a Medical Doctor in San Francisco.
