CDS Volunteers from our Vector fumigation unit suspended operations in Ilopango due to threats generated by armed people in la colonia La Lasca. One volunteer was hit in the head with a gun and two other municipal employees were verbally assaulted. Admin of CDS decided to withdraw their members from the area due to safety concerns even though in other areas of the city, fumigation campaigns are taking place in order to combat Dengue/Mosquito Larvae.
