Safety standards during a rescue are paramount.

24 young volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento are undergoing demanding tests in order to become part of the select vertical rescue group operated by the institution, which has reached 59 years of service to the Salvadoran people.

Comandos de Salvamento is training these rescuers, who were selected from 13 branches, so that they can join the demanding training program, where they must demonstrate their energy, effort, dedication and discipline.

For three months, the volunteers will have to attend theoretical and practical classes, where they must learn about each piece of a rescuer’s equipment, as well as a series of knots for their safety when carrying out descents and ascents during a vertical rescue.

Through this, Comandos de Salvamento seeks to ensure that its volunteer personnel have the capacity and knowledge necessary to perform their duties effectively in service to the Salvadoran people.
