Young volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento graduate in Vertical Rescue.
From the earliest hours, the young people were subjected to physical exercises to build their endurance.

A group of 25 new rescuers received their diplomas last Sunday at the headquarters of Comandos de Salvamento, after three months of rigorous training that forms part of the Vertical Rescue course.

Over several weekends, the young volunteers—most of them adolescents and students from various schools and Comandos delegations—underwent training that included physical and endurance work.

In addition to learning a series of knots to carry out descents and ascents, they also learned about various tools such as carabiners, slings and others, in order to carry out rescues in places that are difficult to access where victims may be found.

It should be noted that, in this course, 6 young women passed the demanding tests and physical exercises, as well as the ascent and descent practices at locations more than thirty meters high where they trained, demonstrating their determination and strength to become part of the vertical rescue group operated by Comandos de Salvamento.

The young women demonstrated that they have big hearts and a strong desire to help others, since for 12 weekends they left their families in order to achieve another victory in this demanding volunteer career. Congratulations to all the young people from Comandos de Salvamento who managed to reach another milestone in their lives.
