APN WILL PROVIDE SUPPORT TO COMANDOS DE SALVAMENTO

Nestor Napal, representative of Norwegian Popular Aid, APN, for the Central American region, met with members of the Board of Directors and Executive Directorate of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, whom he announced that the international organization’s support will continue so that they can conclude the fiscal year.

Comandos de Salvamento also presented the Gender Policy that will be implemented within the humanitarian institution, with APN’s support, and from which good results are expected from the workshops that will be held in the various branches throughout the country.

In addition, Comandos de Salvamento presented the hydraulic equipment that APN financed and that was acquired, which now forms part of the good tools available to the Vehicle Rescue Unit.

Currently, Comandos de Salvamento are facing a budget crisis to finish the year, as the increase in traffic accidents generates greater fuel consumption and requires more ambulance maintenance, since at least 10 motorcyclists who suffer road accidents are assisted daily.
