Christmas Eve left people dead and injured in several traffic accidents reported from the early hours.

Comandos de Salvamento attended several of these road collisions, which left people trapped in the crashes, in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

On the Carretera a Comalapa, a pickup truck crashed, leaving workers injured. On the Carretera al Puerto de La Libertad, a truck also overturned, leaving its crew and passengers with serious injuries.

At midnight on the 24th, rescuers from Antiguo Cuscatlán assisted passengers in a vehicle that overturned on Bulevar Los Próceres. Meanwhile, on the Carretera Panamericana near the cloverleaf, another vehicle collided, leaving its occupants injured.

In the early hours of Wednesday, two vehicles collided on 79th Avenida Norte of Colonia Escalón, leaving at least 8 people injured and some trapped. In coordination with other entities and with the help of hydraulic equipment, the trapped victims were freed and subsequently taken to different medical centers.

A tragic traffic accident occurred Wednesday afternoon on the Carretera Panamericana near Santo Domingo, in San Vicente, where two brothers lost their lives and another suffered serious injuries.

On the road leading to Metapán, the driver of a pickup truck became trapped and was freed and taken to a medical center.

Meanwhile, in Sensuntepeque, rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento assisted motorcyclists who were involved in a traffic accident. After stabilizing them, they were taken to a medical center.

Comandos de Salvamento also assisted two adults who suffered burns to their upper limbs.

Finally, Comandos de Salvamento helped extinguish 4 forest fires; thanks to the assistance of the Cuerpo de Bomberos, more serious consequences were avoided.
