In recent hours, COVID-19 has increased on a large scale, leaving 12 people dead and 555 infected, now putting the health of thousands of Salvadorans who are not following preventive measures to avoid infection at risk.
Comandos de Salvamento has collaborated with the various Municipal Protección Civil Committees, disinfecting vehicles at the entrances to the municipalities, cleaning markets and streets in the cities as a way to prevent the spread of the virus.
In addition, during the distribution of the bonus granted by the Government of President Nayib Bukele, assistance was provided at the various banking agencies so that people would maintain the social distancing indicated by health authorities.
However, despite all this, we are now losing the battle, since in recent hours infections are no longer limited to ten or 15 people; today there are more than 20 daily infections, so the figure continues to rise.
Comandos de Salvamento remains on alert in the face of this pandemic and therefore asks the population not to let their guard down, since we are in the weeks when the virus will spread more rapidly because there are people who have COVID-19 and are asymptomatic.
Today more than ever, social distancing, hygiene measures, the use of face masks and, above all, staying at home must be maintained so that the number of infections does not increase and there is no more mourning in our country.
