TOUGH TASK TO RECOVER BODY IN APOPA

Members of the Rescue Unit of Comandos de Salvamento battled for four hours to recover the body of a man who died on Tuesday afternoon at Cerro El Sartén, in Cantón Joya Grande, within the jurisdiction of Apopa.

The man, who had suffered gunshot wounds, had confronted the Police, according to statements by Fiscalía and PNC personnel, who requested assistance to recover the body and carry out the legally required identification.

The rescuers located the body with the help of police officers and subsequently began the long journey along paths and roads in poor condition under the scorching afternoon sun.
