DEATH AND INJURIES RESULT FROM TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS

A man died after being run over last night on the road leading from Santa Ana to Chalchuapa by a vehicle that fled the scene.
Comandos de Salvamento of Santa Ana went to the accident scene; however, they confirmed that the victim had died from multiple injuries.
At 23ª. Calle Poniente and 10ª. Avenida Norte, two motorcyclists were involved in an accident, suffering minor injuries, and were treated at the scene.
The victims were identified as Emerson Rivas, 18, and Diego Cubias, 26.
TRAPPED
Members of the Comandos de Salvamento Rescue Unit rescued a man who crashed his vehicle into an embankment on Alameda Juan Pablo II, near a shopping center.
According to police authorities, the victim was driving under the influence of alcohol and lost control, crashing into the embankment.
Comandos de Salvamento worked with its hydraulic equipment to free the victim, who had become trapped among the twisted metal of his vehicle.
He was subsequently admitted unconscious to the emergency room of Rosales Hospital.
