Family members came to welcome the rescuers.

Rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento arrived yesterday afternoon at the facilities of the central headquarters, after spending 7 days in the sister Republic of Honduras, where they provided humanitarian services among the population affected by Hurricane Eta.

The volunteers helped distribute food supplies donated by President Nayib Bukele to residents who were left cut off in the affected areas of Choloma, Honduras. In addition, Comandos de Salvamento assisted at warehouse facilities for the Food Program.

They traveled through several towns in Choloma alongside the FOSALUD brigades, with whom coordination was arranged to provide care to patients through prehospital assistance.

During the tour, they delivered food packages to families staying in the various shelters.

Comandos de Salvamento sent 30 personnel to Guatemala and Honduras, where they provided humanitarian assistance at the request of the Minister of Governance and General Director of Protección Civil, Mario Durán.

Upon their arrival, the volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento were received by the Executive Directorate and members of the Board of Directors, who thanked the young rescuers for their willingness to help others regardless of race, religion, or political creed.

At the end of the meeting, the rescuers shouted, “Mission Accomplished, Mr. Director, because we are Comandos.”
