Néstor Napal, representative of Ayuda Popular Noruega, APN, for Central America, arrived to deliver part of the biosecurity equipment to the rescuers of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, amid the increase in COVID cases.
The volunteers of Comandos de Salvamento are at risk of becoming infected due to the number of emergencies they cover, including workplace and traffic accidents, as well as daily responses to common illnesses, among which it is difficult to determine whether patients are infected with COVID.
Therefore, APN has donated biosecurity equipment to each rescuer so that they can protect themselves and continue responding to emergencies.
Roberto Cruz, Executive Director of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, once again thanked Ayuda Popular Noruega for its efforts in donating the supplies so that the rescuers can continue providing their voluntary services to the population.
