COMANDOS RECOVER BODY IN INTEGRACIÓN ACCIDENT

Responders from Comandos de Salvamento recovered the body of one of the two victims involved in an accident this morning at the Integración roundabout in this capital city.

Both victims were traveling in a truck carrying earth, and the driver allegedly lost control when the brake system failed and crashed into an electrical utility pole, which brought high-voltage cables down onto the vehicle.

At first, it was impossible to reach the vehicle because electricity was still flowing; power was suspended upon the arrival of CAESS personnel. Minutes later, the driver was taken to a medical center, while the second victim had to wait for the authorities to arrive for the legally required identification.
