APOPA MUNICIPALITY EMPLOYEE FOUND DEAD IN TOMAYATE RIVER

Members of the Rescue Unit of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, from the Apopa branch, recovered the body of an employee of the Apopa Municipality, who had been reported missing since last Saturday.

The municipal employee’s body was found floating in the waters of the Tomayate River, near Comunidad El Descanso in Apopa. Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, which was also supported by Protección Civil personnel from the Apopa Municipal Municipality, managed to recover the body so it could be handed over to the Legal Medicine authorities for the legally required identification.

According to reports, the person worked in the market area of that Municipio, and his family reported him missing last Saturday.

So far, the cause of the municipal employee’s death is unknown.
