Hundreds of volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador will participate this afternoon in the Transfiguration of the patron saint of the capital’s residents, the Divine Savior of the World, whose procession will travel from the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to Metropolitan Cathedral.
Rescuers and ambulances from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador will be deployed along the entire route taken by the Catholic Church to carry out the Transfiguration, where personnel will provide assistance to the faithful attending the celebration known as the descent.
As has been the tradition for years, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador will carry the image of the Divine Savior of the World along part of the route to Metropolitan Cathedral, where approximately 60 rescuers will carry out the activity for at least one block.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador will have specialized personnel in the vicinity of the cathedral, as well as ambulances, to respond to emergencies.
