This morning, a motorcyclist’s bad maneuver caused an accident involving another motorcycle traveling in the same direction on Bulevar Venezuela, near Barrio Lourdes, in San Salvador.

In the incident, the person responsible suffered injuries, as did the two other people traveling on the other motorcycle, making it necessary for Comandos de Salvamento responders to stabilize them before they were taken to the Barrio Lourdes Health Unit.

Another motorcycle accident was reported on Avenida Independencia, where a collision caused severe injuries to one of the rider’s lower limbs.

Volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento arrived to assist him, and he was subsequently taken to a healthcare center.

Statistics from the Road Safety Observatory indicate that there have been more than 2,850 traffic accidents, in which 483 motorcyclists have lost their lives.

For this reason, Comandos de Salvamento is calling on motorcyclists to respect traffic signs and speed limits and to avoid reckless maneuvers when entering central and auxiliary lanes.

Comandos de Salvamento attends to motorcyclist injured in an accident on Avenida Idependencia in San Salvador.
