This post is also available in:

40 years ago, the General Assembly of the United Nations agreed to commemorate International Volunteer Day every December 5; therefore, the Board of Directors and Executive Directorate of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador thank each of the young people who dedicate their time to serving the Salvadoran people.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador was founded 63 years ago by a group of men who dedicated their time to responding to emergencies. Since its founding, hundreds of young people have joined the volunteer effort, which continues to this day thanks to the contribution of each of the emergency responders, rescuers, lifeguards, doctors, nurses, and operational personnel, so that this spirit of service may continue.
Therefore, the authorities of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador wish to thank the private sector, governmental and nongovernmental institutions, Norwegian People’s Aid (APN), the Ministry of Public Health, the Legislative Assembly, and the Most Excellent Mr. President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, for all the support they have provided to the institution so that it can continue helping and serving the Salvadoran people.
Thank you very much, young volunteers, for every second of your time.
