Volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador delivered breakfast as part of an initiative by a group of rescuers.

Last February 7, a voracious fire consumed at least 6 homes in Comunidad Cartografía, located along Avenida Juan Bértis, in Ciudad Delgado, where the owners lost almost everything.

A group of volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador joined efforts, and the following day they were delivering clothing to the families affected by the fire, an initiative by the rescuers who, in addition to responding to emergencies, set everything else aside and devoted themselves to bringing that donation.

But within Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, there are mostly young people who share in each person’s pain, and on Saturday morning, the volunteers arrived with pupusas to have breakfast alongside the people who still hold on to the hope of being able to rebuild the homes that were reduced to ashes, as well as people who, because they have no other place where they can relocate, keep their belongings outside their destroyed homes.

The people of Comunidad Cartografía on Avenida Juan Bértis, in Ciudad Delgado, thanked the young members of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador with tears in their eyes; with great sacrifice, they tried to bring joy to those affected.

The big hearts of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, fulfilling God’s word in Matthew 25:35-36: “For I was hungry, and you gave me food; I was thirsty, and you gave me drink; I was a stranger, and you welcomed me; I was naked, and you clothed me; I was sick, and you visited me…” “Thank you, heroes in yellow,” said an elderly man from the community.

One day after the incident, the volunteers brought them clothing.
