DRIVER TRAPPED IN ACCIDENT ON THE PAN-AMERICAN HIGHWAY

A man lost control of his vehicle this morning at kilometer 22 of the Pan-American Highway, near Intercomplex, while traveling from Santa Ana toward San Salvador, after colliding with another vehicle traveling in the same direction.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Ciudad Arce branch, arrived at the scene to free the driver, who had become trapped among the twisted metal of his vehicle. They used hydraulic equipment to rescue the victim, who was in serious condition.

Minutes after struggling to free him, the victim was taken by a unit of the Medical Emergency System to a medical facility.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador urges drivers to respect speed limits, as well as traffic signs, since in recent hours two people who were victims of traffic accidents that resulted in fatalities have been freed.
