Volunteer of Comandos de Salvamento from Ciudad Arce fumigates an evangelical church in Comunidad Pequeña Inglaterra.

Volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento, Ciudad Arce branch, have joined the authorities of the Technical Sectoral Health Commission and Protección Civil in the fumigation campaign against the mosquito that transmits dengue and chikungunya.

The rescuers gathered early in the morning at specific points to begin the fumigation, which started in Comunidad Pequeña Inglaterra, where Health authorities have detected suspected cases of dengue.

A few days ago, Health authorities in those communities announced the death of a minor from hemorrhagic dengue. For this reason, health authorities have united their efforts to combat mosquito larvae.

Therefore, the population is asked to cooperate by constantly cleaning the containers where they store water, as well as inspecting those utensils where water is stored so that they can be removed to prevent the proliferation of mosquitoes.

Homes are being fumigated by the Comandos de Salvamento and Protección Civil brigades of Ciudad Arce.
