TRAGIC TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS IN THE LAST FEW HOURS

In the early morning hours, rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Jucuapa branch, assisted Cristian Antonio Linares, 25, who suffered trauma in a motorcycle accident.

The traffic accident occurred on the Pan-American Highway near the turnoff to Nueva Guadalupe, when the motorcycle driver struck a tree branch that was obstructing the road. Volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador transported him to Nueva Guadalupe Hospital.

Meanwhile, in the western part of the country, units from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Ciudad Arce branch, mobilized at 6:20 to assist several people injured on the Pan-American Highway near Termos del Río, when the vehicle in which they were traveling overturned, carrying nearly 25 people.

According to the information, the people residing in Cantón El Tínteral in the Municipio of El Congo were traveling to their jobs in the American Park free-trade zone when the pickup truck suffered mechanical failure and overturned on the road.

The victims were assisted by Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Policía Nacional Civil, and private citizens due to the severity of some of the injuries.

This afternoon, rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Alegría branch, responded to a traffic accident in which a bus traveling from Gotera to San Salvador caused the incident, leaving one person trapped in a car near the Desvío de Estanzuelas.

The victim was struck in his vehicle when the bus attempted to overtake on a curve, colliding head-on; the car’s driver remained trapped and alive among the twisted metal of his vehicle.

Members of the Vehicle Rescue Unit of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador arrived with their hydraulic equipment to free the victim, who was then taken to a medical facility.

Finally, this afternoon, the driver of a vehicle collided with a pole on the Pan-American Highway near the place known as Palo Blanco after losing control of the vehicle.

Rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, from Ciudad Arce, arrived at the accident scene and provided the victim with prehospital care.
