DEATH AND INJURIES IN PAN-AMERICAN HIGHWAY TRAFFIC ACCIDENT

One person died and three were injured in a new traffic accident reported at kilometer 35 of the Carretera Panamericana, in the direction from Santa Ana to San Salvador, near San Andrés.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as Juan José Hernández, lost control of the truck and crashed into a tree in the roadside ditch, dying instantly from the trauma sustained. He had become trapped among the twisted metal.
Meanwhile, the co-driver and two passengers sustained serious injuries and were transported to different medical centers by units from Comandos de Salvamento, Cruz Verde, and the Sistema de Emergencias Médicas.
Those injured include Cristian Alberto Hernández; Jorge Antonio Morales; and a third person identified only by the name Antonio.
Members of the Rescue Unit of Comandos de Salvamento carried out the recovery of the body, which had become trapped inside the vehicle, so that it could be identified by judicial and police authorities.
