Today, more than 20 healthcare professionals who are part of Doctors of the Americas arrive in our country. Led by physician Andrew Badulak, they have coordinated with Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador for twenty years to conduct medical campaigns.

Dr. Andrew Badulak, together with his wife Stephanie, made their first trip with a small group of physicians to conduct a series of consultation campaigns for people with limited financial resources.

Over the years, the group of Doctors of the Americas volunteers grew with each visit to the country, where Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador coordinated the sites where there was the greatest need for medical consultations.

Now, Doctors of the Americas arrive and begin a long series of visits to communities such as San Carlos in Tecoluca, Department of San Vicente; Comunidad Los Pampitos in Aguilares; Comunidad La Cosquera, in Sonsonate; Alegría in the Department of Usulután, to conclude in Comunidad Río Las Cañas, in Ilopango.

During these medical campaigns, Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador, together with Doctors of the Americas, provide medicines completely free of charge to all patients, as well as deworming medication and vitamins that help older adults, women, elderly people, and children.

The Board of Directors and Executive Directorate of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador thank the members of Doctors of the Americas, who this year mark 20 years of visiting the country, conducting medical campaigns and, in some years, ophthalmological campaigns that have benefited thousands of Salvadorans.

The series of medical campaigns begins Friday.
5 Communities will benefit from the free consultations and medicines.
More than 30 healthcare professionals from the United States arrive in the country today.
