Volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento assist victim.

This afternoon, units from Comandos de Salvamento attended to a man who was nearly crushed to death by two garbage collection trucks in the parking lot located on the Calle leading from Ciudad Delgado to Soyapango, near the Las Mulas Bridge.

According to one version from Salvador Armando Morales Franco’s coworkers, the 33-year-old and his colleagues had already finished the day’s work and were preparing to return home when one of the trucks moved as the victim was passing by, leaving him trapped between the two units.

The victim’s coworkers managed to separate the solid waste collection units and wait for the arrival of the volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento, who stabilized him.

Salvador Armando Morales Franco was taken to the Soyapango Social Security Hospital on an emergency basis due to the severity of the trauma he suffered to his head and other parts of his body.
