The August celebrations in honor of the Divine Savior of the World get underway. Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador began operations early to provide coverage for the Desfile de Correos, which started at the Beethoven fountains and concluded at Cuscatlán Park.
Comandos de Salvamento deployed several ambulances and more than 150 volunteers to provide coverage for the thousands of Salvadorans who attended the parade to see the queens from the different districts of San Salvador.
The colorful floats and the harmonies of the peace bands delighted attendees, who went to great lengths to get the treats.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador treated several young members of the peace bands who suffered sunstroke and mild fainting caused by heatstroke. Some patients suffered headaches and were treated on an outpatient basis.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador is preparing to set up its first-aid stations at the fairgrounds installed outside Cuscatlán Stadium.
For next August 3, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador will prepare its personnel to provide coverage for the Desfile de Comercio, and will participate with a float as part of the celebration.
