More than 1,500 volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador have begun activities במסגרת Operation “Summer 2026,” which began this Palm Sunday and concludes next Resurrection Sunday.

They began with a motorcycle accident at kilometer 36 of the Troncal del Norte Highway, where the driver lost control and suffered trauma. Rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento in Aguilares assisted him and transported him to FOSALUD in Aguilares.

Meanwhile, first-aid stations have already been set up at the country’s tourist centers and resorts, along with lifeguards, medical personnel, and rescuers ready to provide assistance in the event of an emergency during the Easter season.

At Turicentro Los Chorros, rescuers from the Lourdes, Colón section have set up a first-aid station to handle any eventuality. In the public sector of Lake Ilopango, volunteers from the Ilopango delegation are already providing emergency services.

At Turicentro Termos del Río, lifeguards, rescuers, and nursing staff arrived early to set up their first-aid station.

At the country’s main beaches, lifeguards from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador are already providing services to prevent deaths by drowning. It should also be noted that the Diving Unit will be ready to respond to any eventuality.

Five vehicle-rescue units will be deployed on the highways to respond to traffic accidents, equipped with specialized hydraulic equipment for situations involving trapped people.

Thus, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador launches its service and its “Summer 2026” Rescue Plan, hoping that people will follow the recommendations and respect speed limits so as not to become part of the statistics on incidents during Easter Week.
