Volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador participated this morning in the launch of the 2026 Capital Winter Plan, promoted by Mayor Mario Durán.
The Winter Plan seeks to minimize preventive measures ahead of the arrival of the rainy season, which is approaching Salvadoran territory.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador is a service organization that responds to emergencies and, in previous years, has played a fundamental role in river and ravine overflows, as well as floods and evacuations of people who are in danger.
Roberto Cruz, executive director, stated that they will be available to respond to calls from the capital municipality in the event of any emergency that may arise in the five districts: San Salvador, Mejicanos, Cuscatancingo, Ayutuxtepeque, and Ciudad Delgado.
In addition, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador will be ready to assist with the various fumigation campaigns to prevent harm caused by mosquitoes.
