Responders from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, from the Ilopango branch, assisted several people on the boardwalk at the Apulo Tourist Center, in Ilopango.

According to the report, several people were socializing in a small establishment near the Apulo Tourist Center when strong winds accompanying the rain brought down a tree that fell onto the business, causing it to collapse and burying its patrons.

The Comandos de Salvamento volunteers arrived at the scene to assist the victims, who were evaluated one by one, with three of the victims having to be taken to the San Bartolo National Hospital, Ilopango.

Meanwhile, others were treated at the scene of the incident, including two minors who suffered minor bruises.
