Today, five more members of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador departed to support search and rescue efforts in Venezuela at the request of President Nayib Bukele.

On this occasion, Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador assigned two young women who are members of the Rescue Unit, young people who hope to save the lives of Venezuelans’ relatives, who continue to hope that their loved ones remain clinging to life among the rubble.

The new contingent sent to Venezuela is made up of 120 rescuers, paramedics, and armed forces personnel, forming part of a rotation for some of the men and women who have already spent more than ten days tirelessly carrying out search and rescue operations in the areas most affected by the double earthquake.

In addition, El Salvador is once again sending five tons of supplies as Humanitarian Aid.

So far, all the personnel sent by the Salvadoran president in the first contingent have been assigned to various areas, carrying out search and rescue operations, as well as distributing food, providing medical care, and offering psychological assistance to children who have lost their loved ones.

The Board of Directors of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador hopes that the new personnel called upon by President Nayib Bukele can continue with the tasks assigned to them in the South American nation.
