During their latest medical campaign, the Doctors of the Americas attended to more than 250 people from Comunidad El Cedral, in the Municipio of Nejapa, north of the Salvadoran capital.

In addition, communities such as Pitarrillo 1 and 2, El Rosario, Cuesta Blanca, and Los Angelitos benefited, from where women, older adults, and children came to receive medical consultations and medications free of charge.

The Doctors of the Americas, who have been coming to the country for more than 20 years under the coordination of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, have benefited nearly one thousand people with their care over these years.

Nearly 25 healthcare professionals arrive from Pennsylvania and Los Angeles, California, United States, to meet the needs of people with limited financial resources from the different communities and population centers assigned for the medical campaigns, coordinated under the direction of Rosa Arrué de Méndez, Health Coordinator of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador.

At the conclusion of the care provided by the Doctors of the Americas, approximately 20 ultrasounds were performed on patients who required them, and some were referred to healthcare centers.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador once again thanked the Doctors of the Americas for their willingness to come to the country and care for the Salvadoran population, care to which the doctors of Comandos de Salvamento also contributed.
