ONE DEAD AND FOUR INJURED IN ACCIDENT

One person died and four others were injured Monday night on the new highway leading to the eastern part of the country, near Cantón Nahualapa, in Rosario de la Paz.

 The traffic accident occurred when the driver of a car lost control and veered off the road, falling into the ditch.

Members of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Zacatecoluca branch, together with the Cuerpo de Bomberos de El Salvador, carried out the maneuvers to rescue the victims who were still inside the vehicle.

The five people traveling to Zacatecoluca were stabilized by the volunteers, who transported them to Hospital Santa Teresa; one of the injured died on the way.

The deceased victim was identified as Roger Alexander Umaña Hernández, 23, who was trapped inside the vehicle.
