Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador hosted a luncheon to thank the ten volunteers who represented the institution in the Humanitarian Mission sent by President Nayib Bukele to Venezuela in 2026, following the double earthquake on June 24.
A video and a report were presented at the event by those in charge of the two delegations sent, who detailed the effort made to uphold the name of Comandos de Salvamento, which has trained them in various branches of rescue and prehospital care.
Likewise, although they had already been decorated by the Salvadoran president, the Board of Directors of Comandos de Salvamento presented them, for the first time, with a cash bonus sponsored by Ayuda Popular Noruega (APN), as well as a diploma of honor for merit.
Executive Director Roberto Cruz and Treasurer Efraín Solís thanked Ayuda Popular Noruega, APN, for the financial contribution, as well as the volunteers for their commendable humanitarian work, which adds to the 65 years of experience of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, helping during wars, earthquakes, floods, and natural disasters.
At the end, two of those honored expressed their gratitude to the authorities for giving them the opportunity to participate in this important international humanitarian mission.
