One more person was injured and treated by rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento.

This afternoon, members of the Rescue Unit of Comandos de Salvamento were alerted about two people buried in a home on Avenida Cuscatlán, in the capital.

The incident occurred at a home located between 6th and 8th Calle Oriente and Avenida Cuscatlán, where construction work was being carried out to install one of the columns when the wall collapsed, burying him and causing his death.

The deceased victim was identified as Víctor Manuel Pérez Rafael, 52. Meanwhile, José Eduardo Pérez, 74, the deceased man’s brother, had only suffered an injury to his right upper limb, so he was treated by rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento at the scene of the tragedy.

Rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento removed the body from the rubble so that the legally required examination could be carried out.
