Members of the Board of Directors of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador signed a donation agreement with the Embassy of Japan on Tuesday morning, which will donate three ambulances.

The agreement, called the “Ambulance Supply Project,” specifies that the units will be assigned to the branches in Guazapa, north of the capital; San Miguel Tepezontes, which covers the scenic route; and Juayúa, in the western part of the country.

His Excellency Ambassador Sano Taketoski signed the agreement together with David Martínez, trustee of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador. Rubia Palacios, president of the rescue organization, was in charge of receiving the donation from the Asian country.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador currently has 33 branches nationwide and 55 ambulances.

The modern ambulances will play an important role in the areas to which they will be assigned and are part of the cooperation that Japan provides to rescue organizations for the proper operation and response to emergencies.

Efraín Solís, treasurer of the Board of Directors, and Roberto Cruz, executive director of Comandos de Salvamento, expressed their gratitude for the cooperation. This type of assistance encourages us to continue working and reaffirming our mission of continuing to save lives.
