YOUNG WORKER DIES CRUSHED BY SHEETS

This morning, a young worker died when a pile of sheets that had been delivered to a hardware store in Cantón Coyolito, jurisdiction of Tejutla, Chalatenango, fell onto his body.

Rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Aguilares branch, were alerted and, upon arriving at the scene of the accident, carried out maneuvers to recover the young man, who was identified as Juan Joel Vargas Rosa, 20.

However, despite the efforts made by the rescue services and the SEM, the person died due to the trauma suffered when the weight of the sheets fell onto his body from a height of two meters.

Two other workers who were at the site managed to get out in time and thus avoid a greater tragedy.
