MOTORCYCLIST HAS A MIRACULOUS ESCAPE

A motorcyclist had a miraculous escape this morning after being hit by a beverage delivery truck on kilometer 10 of the Northern Trunk Highway, in the direction from San Salvador to Apopa.

The incident occurred when the motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle, skidded, and was run over by the driver of the carbonated beverage delivery truck traveling behind him.

Although the truck driver attempted to stop the vehicle, it was impossible, and he struck the motorcyclist for several meters, leaving him underneath the vehicle.

Rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, Apopa branch, arrived to assist the victim, who was pulled out from underneath the truck with a series of traumas sustained after being run over for several meters.

The volunteers stabilized the motorcyclist so he could be taken as an emergency to the General Social Security Hospital in San Salvador.
