Iron platform collapsed and buried three workers.

Members of the Rescue Unit and Medical Unit of Comandos de Salvamento in El Salvador traveled to kilometer 18 and a half of the Los Chorros highway, where three workers involved in the construction of the Los Chorros viaduct lost their lives.

The tragedy occurred around midday, when an iron structure collapsed, burying three of the workers, who died instantly. Meanwhile, another was rescued from among the iron beams and taken to a medical center.

A fifth worker was treated for a nervous breakdown after seeing the enormous iron platform that nearly ended his life.

Rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento in El Salvador used hydraulic equipment to recover the workers’ bodies so they could be identified by judicial, prosecutorial, and police authorities.
