Other people were taken to medical centers due to complications from their conditions. They were transported in emergencies by the ambulances of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, which were stationed outside the voting centers.
The volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, in addition to providing prehospital assistance, also helped elderly people or those with disabilities travel to the polling stations so they could cast their ballots.
In the evening, the Executive Directorate of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador asked a group of volunteers to provide assistance at Plaza Gerardo Barrios, where President-elect Nayib Bukele was expected to arrive, as part of preventive measures for any eventuality involving attendees at the event.
The members of the Board of Directors of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador and Executive Director Roberto Cruz thanked each of the young volunteers who provided their services at the various voting centers.
