Hundreds of young volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador arrived at the cemeteries very early to provide pre-hospital assistance to visitors who come to place flowers on the graves of those who went before them.
Brigades of rescuers assist elderly people, taking them to where their loved ones rest; some use wheelchairs, while others are guided to prevent falls.
In addition, the rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador have provided assistance to people suffering from hypertension or who have fallen, so they can receive timely care.
Roberto Cruz, Executive Director of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador, stated that his personnel would remain until the cemeteries close to prevent any mishap. “We are working with our personnel from the country’s 30 branches, as part of a prevention and cooperation measure with the Ministry of Health so we can respond to emergencies,” Cruz stated.
Some people have had to be taken to healthcare centers due to hypertensive crises so they could undergo their respective checkups.
