A young teacher was trapped among the twisted metal.

Twelve people were injured this morning when two public-transportation microbuses collided on bulevar del Ejército near Molsa, traveling west to east in the capital.

A teacher who was traveling in the front seats of the microbus became trapped by one of her lower limbs, so Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, with support from other institutions, assisted the victims, who were taken to different medical centers.

The traffic accident occurred at approximately 6:45 this morning, when the driver of the route 140 microbus crashed into the route 3 microbus, apparently due to excessive speed.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador transported several of the injured from both public-transportation units during the first few minutes, while more ambulances arrived to help with the emergency.

Ahsly Lisset Díaz López, a young teacher who was on her way to work, suffered for several minutes while vehicle-rescue units arrived at the scene of the traffic accident to free one of her lower limbs, which had become trapped among the twisted metal of the route 140 unit in which she was traveling.
