PASSENGER TRAPPED IN ACCIDENT

Comandos de Salvamento rescued two people this morning who suffered trauma when the vehicle in which they were traveling crashed on the Highway from Puerto de La Libertad to San Salvador.

One of the victims became trapped among the twisted metal of the vehicle, which crashed into some trees and a wall. Members of the Rescue Unit of Comandos de Salvamento used hydraulic equipment to free the passenger’s lower limbs.

After several minutes, rescuers managed to free the victim so he could be transferred to a medical center with trauma to his lower limbs, as well as injuries to his skull.

The vehicle’s driver was admitted to a hospital by Comandos de Salvamento rescuers because of the injuries he sustained.
