A person was rescued early this morning on the road leading to San Juan Opico, where the driver of a light truck crashed into the rear of a parked tractor-trailer.

Comandos de Salvamento, with its Vehicle Rescue Unit, assisted Alexis Aquino, 31, who had become trapped among the twisted metal of the vehicle.

For several minutes, the Comandos de Salvamento volunteers struggled to free the victim so he could be transported to a medical facility.
