Comandos de Salvamento fumigate to prevent contagion.

As part of prevention efforts to avoid contracting the COVID-19 virus, Comandos de Salvamento disinfected the facilities of the Land Traffic Division of the Policía Nacional Civil in San Salvador.

The disinfection of the police facilities and the central headquarters of Comandos de Salvamento itself is part of the preventive and hygienic measures to prevent the coronavirus from affecting both PNC personnel and rescuers, who are among those on the front line helping Health authorities combat the pandemic.

The Police Corporation has lost two of its personnel in recent days as a result of COVID-19; in addition, two army personnel have died from the deadly virus.

From the very beginning, Comandos de Salvamento adopted preventive and hygienic measures among its volunteers to avoid possible contagions, since they are part of the first-response institutions. Therefore, the Board of Directors issued statements affirming that people suspected of having the flu, a high temperature, cough, or other symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 are not attended to.

PNC has lost two of its personnel to COVID-19.
