Rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento manage to free one of the two trapped individuals.

Traffic accidents continue day after day, leaving tragic results; despite there being less vehicle traffic, collisions are reported daily.

Comandos de Salvamento, a first-response organization, responded this morning on Calle Antigua Agua Caliente to a collision between two vehicles, in which two people traveling in a food-distribution truck became trapped.

The two victims in the food-delivery truck struggled for their lives for several minutes, as both had become trapped among the cab’s metal components after being struck head-on by the pickup truck that crossed into the lane from Soyapango to San Salvador.

Comandos de Salvamento had to use hydraulic equipment to free the two people, who were subsequently transported to a medical facility.

Comandos de Salvamento urges drivers to respect traffic signs and speed limits so as not to continue causing mourning and pain for Salvadoran families.

The Vehicle Rescue Unit used hydraulic equipment to free the two victims.
The collision between the vehicles occurred on Calle Antigua Agua Caliente, in Soyapango.
Driver of the food-delivery truck is freed and taken to a medical facility.
