Comandos de Salvamento has acquired personal protective suits to ensure the safety of Salvadorans who are assisted in different emergencies nationwide.

The new Comandos de Salvamento unit that uses special biosafety suits will guarantee victims’ health during this COVID-19 pandemic. The suits were acquired with the institution’s own funds and with assistance from Norwegian People’s Aid so that young volunteers can avoid being infected with the coronavirus.

So far, there are ten units (suits) with eye protection, protective shoes, gloves, and masks so that first responders covering various emergencies can prevent any contamination.

Due to the increase in cases in Greater San Salvador and among asymptomatic people, the Comandos de Salvamento Board of Directors opted to purchase protective equipment for the young volunteers.

Comandos de Salvamento seeks the safety of the population and its volunteers.

Ten special suits have been purchased by Comandos so far.
