This post is also available in: Spanish Norwegian Bokmål French Chinese (Simplified) Japanese

Rice, beans, among other basic necessities, were delivered to the rescuers,

Ayuda Popular Noruega APN was the organization that financed the aid.

Members of the Board of Directors and Executive Directorate of Comandos de Salvamento traveled to the eastern part of the country to deliver food and bottled water supplies to the different delegations.

With the aim of ensuring that the young rescuers can eat during the emergency caused by the COVID-19 virus, the different Comandos de Salvamento delegations are collaborating with the Municipal Protección Civil Committees to guide the population on care and disinfection when they arrive at their homes after carrying out various activities, whether work-related or purchasing medicines or food for their families.

Comandos de Salvamento has provided emergency services since the red alert for COVID-19 was declared. However, they have made it clear that they will not respond to suspected cases of flu, cough, high fever, or other coronavirus symptoms because the institution does not have special protective suits.

But Comandos de Salvamento maintains disinfection points at the entrances to Municipios, as well as in markets and main streets, in addition to assisting the beneficiaries of the bonus granted by the Government of President Nayib Bukele to thousands of low-income families amid the pandemic that has the entire world in turmoil.

Ayuda Popular Noruega, APN, is one of the organizations supporting Comandos de Salvamento, and thanks to them, food was provided to the different delegations so that their rescuers can have their essential meals during each shift they work.
