During 8 weekends, the 30 young volunteers receive the knowledge.

Amid the wave of accidents that occur daily, Comandos de Salvamento is training 30 young people in the Vehicle Rescue specialty. The young men and women, between 18 and 25 years old, belong to the central base and the Comandos delegations in the interior of the country.

These volunteers are being trained in an eight-weekend course, on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, so that they acquire the knowledge needed to rescue people trapped in vehicles involved in traffic accidents.

In recent road accidents, victims have been left trapped; people have been seen caught among the twisted metal of their vehicles, and therefore it is necessary to have more personnel capable of freeing the injured.

Jhony Ramos is the head instructor who, together with a team of eight trainers experienced in this field, is teaching the 30 Comandos de Salvamento rescuers, thereby enabling the organization to have personnel trained in Vehicle Rescue in the 30 sections.

Comandos de Salvamento recently purchased new vehicle extrication equipment for $10,000, a special price offered by firefighters from Puyallup, in the United States, since such machinery could exceed $39,000 on the market.

In this way, Comandos now has the most modern vehicle rescue equipment in the country. The equipment and workshop costs are sponsored by Norwegian Popular Aid, a sister relief organization of Comandos de Salvamento.
